The #11 Forever Award is a $1,100 scholarship given annually to students who inspire and lead by example, creating a team environment where everyone can excel together. These individuals motivate their peers through their actions and words, empowering teammates to become better versions of themselves.

This award is given in memory of Kristian Domingo, a Vancouver College Class of 2014 graduate, who was a “13-year man” known for his leadership, dedication, and tenacity. Kristian excelled as a student-athlete in both football and basketball, earning multiple “Most Inspirational” awards for his ability to bring out the best in his teammates.

The #11 Forever Award is presented to high school and post-secondary students who may have faced adversity and have exemplified:

  • Leadership, faith, and perseverance
  • Dedication to their team and community
  • The ability to inspire and uplift others
  • A relentless pursuit of excellence, both academically and athletically

The #11 Forever Award is awarded annually at various participating high schools, colleges, and universities within Canada

Kristian Domingo chose to wear the #11 jersey in memory of his friend Mitchell Ho, a reminder of someone who lived life to the fullest despite adversity. For Kristian, #11 symbolized courage, hope, and the fight to never give up.

The day after his Vancouver College graduation, Kristian was diagnosed with a rare cancer. True to his character, he faced every challenge with resilience and never lost hope. Though he could no longer compete in sports, he remained determined, pursuing his dream of becoming a veterinarian at UBC. Throughout his battle, Kristian drew strength from his faith, family, and friends, continuing to inspire those around him.

The #11 Forever Award carries on his legacy, recognizing students who lead, inspire, and uplift others through their own perseverance and dedication.

  • Vancouver College
  • Little Flower Academy
  • The Vancouver School Board
  • Corpus Christi College
  • The University of British Columbia (Land & Food Systems Program)
  • The University of Saskatchewan (Huskies Football Program)

Interested students can apply through their respective school’s application process, highlighting their leadership, resilience, and contributions to their team and community. Applications typically open before the school’s designated award event, with recipients selected by a committee.
